The game actually has some good features, an easy to use user interface, an option to create a friends list, including a chat feature, and a game format that is fun and interactive.
That would be at the top of my list of criticisms for this potentially solid game. Unfortunately this is undermined by regular game crashes, (tonight my game has crashed 5 times, which is Frequent game crashes. If you want to play online, i recommend you look somewhere else. If you don't mind playing against the AI, dropping 5 euros or dollars on this game is worth it. The amount of frustration i received through this loophole was so much that i stopped playing online all together in Catan Universe. This is heavily abused by players who are about to lose, and hope to discourage winning players into forfeiting. By gently moving your mouse, the idle timer resets and thus keeps your turn going. I've had matches taking almost 2 hours because the developers didn't think of putting timers in place just in case someone decided to keep their turn going indefinitely. When you play against the computer (single player) the game is quite fun, even challenging at times.
